Aug 18-19th

So, we arrived in Melbourne Aug 18th 10:00am local time. Where did Sunday go? We were then picked up by Stephen's supervisor Matt. He brought us to his apartment and we showered...we were so gross. ( x - x) Then, Matt gave us a bit of a tour around town and took us to lunch. We also went to the mall and got cell phones! woo! That day, it was hard to stay up but we managed to stay up till 8:30pm (5:30 am Nola time). 

The following day Matt had work so we were on our own! We decided to walk around.

I was really stoked to get a closer look at all the plants! Also, this is the first bug I've seen so far...It is winter though.

We had to cross this big hwy. The crosswalks go "boop boop boop boop" when you pres the button. Also, my brain can't wrap around the opposite lane thing. haha I'll get use to it eventually.

Anyway, Our goal was to get to an atm so when we finally got there we pulled out some cash and went to make groceries.

Oh we also, got a coffee. So....In Australia you can't order a coffee. There's like no such thing as pressed coffee it's all espresso. And they all have weird names. I don't really have the hang of it but a "Flat White" is an espresso with milk...and there's a "Short Black" "Long Black," "Short Mac," "Piccolo." I'm not sure what all  them are yet. I'm sure I'll figure it out. Macs are Macchiatos.

Anyway, it was a pretty productive day..
