Aug 20th- Partments, Parks, and Fish....?

So today was coooolll. I woke up around 5 in the morning..cause of jet lag - _ -...

Stephen's confused about something...

After breakfast we had an appointment to "inspect" an apartment. So, we made our way towards the trams. We borrowed Matt's Myki card (pronounced "my key") which is Melbourne's public transportation card. You can use them on the bus, train, and trams. Pretty cool! 

So we got to the apartment, and considering it's pretty cheep for Melbourne...we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't a corridor or a trash can you can sleep in or something.

It's small, but we don't need much space. It has a living room, separate bedroom, and kitchen.

The only thing wrong with it is this weird fuckin stove. WHAT IS THIS?

hahaha, most places in Melbourne don't come with appliances which is a bit of a bummer. Another thing to add to the list. (@ - @)

Anyway, the place is really close to the shuttle that gets Stephen to school so that's the main selling point. We aren't completely sold (mostly cause of that stove) but the location is so convenient...Also, it's right next to a cool park.

Then on the way home we stopped and got our own Myki cards at the 7 eleven.

Then, on the way back we stopped and got fish and chips! Omigod...so delicious. I could do without the chips tho, honestly. The fish was so good...

We also, we went back to the grocery store so that I could buy stuff to make red beans and rice for Matt. ooo gonna be so good. Andouille is the only thing I couldn't find, and they barely have any smoked meats. I ended up getting some smoked polish sausage. *shurg* I dunno we'll see.

Also, Bell peppers are called capsicums here.

We have more apartments to look at, but tomorrow we'll be going to Monash to finalize Stephen's enrollment. Get him a student Id. Also we'll get a bank account for us.
