Finally!!

Hello everyone! We finally have the bare necessitates in our new apartment.

We assembled our Ikea furniture, except the couch which was delivered to us broken :C

Last night we ate smoked salmon with red onions, goat cheese, and capers while watching Inglorious Bastards. This meal is an invention of my mommy! ( ' u ' ) So good!

Wow

Hello everybody it's Savi.  The last few days have been really hectic.  We signed our lease for our apartment on Wednesday!!  Here's me sitting on the floor in it hahaha.

Then we took the train for the first time.

We went to ikea to get furniture.... So,  ikea is like the third circle of hell. Who knew? 

Haha oh man,  we got there at 11 and we didn't leave till 5pm. We were so exhausted afterwards. 

We got the things we bought delivered yesterday, and we spent the entire day putting things together. Haha we're still not done though. I'll be sure to post pics when we finish. 

We don't have Internet yet at the house,  but there's a coffee shop near by with WiFi.  

Now we have to find a fridge. That isn't $800. 

That's the current battle. 

I'll keep you guys updated.

Food day!

Hello internet. I have been instructed to say that this is Stephen although it already says that.

We kinda got our apartment today! We sign the lease on Wednesday. So that's really cool. Since we were working that out all day, we really didn't get to doing anything until just before dark.

This is a tree. I presume this is to fill Savanna's plant quota.

This is Indian food. We got it at a place called Tandoori Times. I like this more than the tree. I got Vindaloo (liquid hell fire) and Savi got Korma (Indian candy dinner). Easily the best food we've had here so far.

We had to go through two bottles of water to eat it though. Savi literally had steam forming on her glasses.

After that we got cake from The Acland Cake Shop! It is one of four cake shops in a row on Acland street.

After cake we went to our first bar! It was called Iddy Biddy bar (. . .). Cheapest pints I think we'll find around here. According to my adviser, $12-15 a pint isn't unheard of. We found them for $5 here.

More partments and more parks

Hey everyone! it's meee.

So, today we had another apartment to look at.

 We got there kind of early...so I took more flower and bee pictures haha

The weather was really pretty.

So, the apartment was really nice, and it had an actual stove! wow. omigod. 

We put in an application for it. I hope we get it. ( > w < )!! 

So then after that we walked around the area a bit. We passed by this little convenience store and I saw this adorable cup in the window...

I couldn't resist...I had to buy it @-@ <3 <3 <3

Then after we got some food.

Stephen got a bogbur. Steohe loves bogbers

After lunch we went to the St. Kilda botanical gardens.

OK, we saw they had a conservatory and we were so excited.

But it was locked :c we'll have to try again later.

First visit to campus! plus, more apartment hunting and flowers.

So, this a two-day update! Yesterday we went to Monash's campus for the first time.

It was a really nice campus! We went to finish up Stephens enrollment, get him a student ID, and get both of us bank accounts. Unfortunately I forgot my nice camera at home but I managed to take some pics on Stephen's phone.

So, then after that we got Pho, but frankly we weren't very impressed. Ain't got nothin' on Lilly's in NOLA. 

-day 2-

So, today we went more apartment hunting. 

We took the tram to the first place. It was nice and sunny today. It's starting to feel like spring.

The officials came on and swipe our myki cards to make sure we had money on them, and two guys next to us got escorted off the tram! (O - o ) Scary stuff. Good thing we had money on our cards. 

The first place we saw was alright, but the door to the bathroom was broken. Also, it had gross carpets haha. 

Saw this guy while we were walking. so cute. Little bee! Also such pretty flowers...in fact let's take a moment to smell the flowers:

okay, back to the day...

For inspections they often just leave empty flats open all day. So, you just walk in and nobodies there. Except this guy. He was very friendly.

After we finished looking at apartments. We got back on the tram, and headed home. Tonight were having a barbie! hehe.
